Uses

The Gitzo 6X Carbon Fiber monodpod is an excellent choice.  When you can't use a tripod, a monopod is another great option when using bigger lenses.  A monopod helps you keep the camera stable, but also provides you the freedom to move quickly in any direction.    The lightness and strength of carbon fiber makes lugging those heavy super-telephoto lenses not so bad.
